In my lectures I give my audience a 'can do' attitude toward gardening. Each lecture gives practical information that can be applied to a home or business garden on any scale. What took me years of research, trial and error I pass on to you, your customers, or club to achieve success on a given topic.
Most lectures can be presented in a garden center, store setting, or meeting room. What better way to talk about gardening than by showing actual plants. Lectures to garden clubs and organizations may be workshops, lectures, or demonstrations. Most lectures can be customized to your particular needs or setting.
For the store owner/ manager - I can help draw customers to your store and show them which plants are right for a given situation for their garden (refer to the list of topics). By showing actual plants the customer can see what the plants look like and how they will work in their own garden. This helps take the guess work out of what to buy. When your customer have success in their garden they’ll be back for more plants. Plant by plant they’ll have a beautiful garden. And plant by plant you’ll have loyal customers.
For farmers’ markets and farm stands - See the recipe and produce based lectures I offer. They will give the consumer a variety of uses for produce found at local markets that are at their peak of freshness. When you show your customers how they can easily prepare fresh produce they’ve never had, or a new way to serve an old favorite, they’re more likely to purchase more from the venders.
For garden clubs and organization - Lectures to clubs and organizations are not based on sales. You may want a topic based on a particular season. (Autumn for spring flowering bulbs or recipes for harvest time). See lecture topics to discuss with your group.
Typical lectures last about a 1 – 1 ½ hours to allow time for questions and answers with an additional ½ to 1 hour for preparation.
