“Gardening is the art that uses flowers and plants as paint, and the soil and sky as canvas.” ― Elizabeth Murray
If you've gotten an Amarillis bulb for Christmas , by now it's about to bloom it's big beautiful flower. Once the bloom finishes, be sure to cut back the flower stalk but not the leaves. Keep the pot in the sun to absorb energy for next year. Keep watering it. When frost has passed, put it outside in the sun, feed it with plant food. In the fall let the soil dry out and the bulb go dormant. Keep unwatered in a closet until Christmas. Take it out, water and it should begin to grow and eventually bloom again.
